Program Information
The State of Nevada offers SkillBridge internship and training opportunities for transitioning service members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. These internships provide meaningful, hands-on experience within state government and exposure to a wide range of public-sector career pathways.
SkillBridge internships are most effective when participants are able to commit to the full program duration of up to six months. Internships are generally most successful when aligned with a participant’s prior experience, skills, or career interests, allowing both the participant and the host department to gain the greatest value from the opportunity. Before submitting an interest form, service members are encouraged to consider the amount of time they are able to dedicate to an internship to ensure the experience is mutually beneficial.
Interested candidates should review the State of Nevada’s SkillBridge program standards and available internship pathways, then submit an interest form to begin the process. After submission, a DHRM staff member will contact the candidate by email or phone.
Program Scope: This SkillBridge program supports internships only within Nevada State Government. Requests for placement with private companies, airlines, municipal (city/county), or federal organizations fall outside the scope of this program.
